Cuentos Cubanos

Cuban_doctor

I was born in Chicago in 1956 exactly two months after my parents left Havana. Their plan was a couple years in Chicago, until things settled down in Cuba. Things did not work out according to plan. For the following 53 years my father attempted to live life as true to his small-town Cuban origins as was possible in Chicago. It turned out to be very possible.
