The pbs ancestry program revealed that Dustin hoffman’s Grandmother lived in the 4900 block of Whipple av. After her husband was killed and she escaped from what is now Russia,She attempted to sue the Russian government for the death of her husband but was unsuccessful. Dustin Hoffman cried upon hearing this information stating what a brave individual his grandmother was.
